My name is Gwen Rosewater, and I am a pet portrait artist living in Nothern California with my family, consisting of my husband Aaron, my teenaged son Emile, my mom in law Adele, and my three Italian Greyhounds, Georgie, Pixel and Boo. I should also mention my mom in law’s two cats, who, due to the dire feelings directed towards them by Pixel, live a life largely sequestered away in Adele’s room.

I intend this web log as a way of playing show and tell with my latest paintings, but since that seems a bit self indulgent, I want to do a lot more with it than that. I am deeply involved with rescue, and I would encourage anyone with any interesting rescue stories to send them along to me so that I can share them. Beyond that, I periodically discover really interesting stories and information related to animals, and this gives me an opportunity to share. I enthusiastically welcome your imput!
